EWING brushed the off side stall at the start, advanced to take command shortly after the break and showed the way in hand just off the inside through swift splits under some pressure from SHE'S ON A ROLL to the outside, shook off that rival cutting the corner into upper stretch, came under a light drive with three-sixteenths to go and went clear, then got placed to a very light hand ride and shown the crop to the left side once at the sixteenth marker when getting close to the rail and was kept very lightly to task to the wire. EMPIRES KING coaxed from the gate, chased four wide down the backstretch until tucked inside into the turn, came under coaxing at the five-sixteenths and spun just off the inside into upper stretch, proved no match for the top one while running on to secure the place honors. TARTABULL got away to an awkward start, chased along the inside and then just off the inside under a ride from the five-sixteenths, angled three to four wide into upper stretch and improved position to procure the show honors. SHE'S ON A ROLL broke out a step at the start, prompted the leader from the outside three wide coming under encouragement at the three-eighths marker, continued three wide into upper stretch in the midst of being shaken off and weakened in the stretch. SECTION coaxed from the gate, chased just off the inside under urging from the three-eighths pole, angled out five wide at the top of the stretch, and trailed.
