Chart notes
EMBRACE TIME was reserved in the two path, moved to the three path late on the far turn, was roused in the six path into the stretch, rallied outside to make a bid inside the furlong marker, gained the advantage outside the sixteenth-pole and proved best under good handling. CONNECT THE STARS went around the first turn in the three path, settled on the outside, was roused while moving from the two path to the four path on the far turn, turned into the stretch in the five path, rallied to make a bid between foes outside the sixteenth-pole but failed to match strides with the winner late but earned the place. THE GRUMPY RABBIT moved in early while taken under a snug hold, saved ground on the first turn, was reserved near the back, moved from the rail to the three path on the turn, spun into the stretch in the five path then angled further out, found her best stride in the final furlong and finished with good energy to just miss the place while narrowly up for the show. MATADORA was eased back on the opening straightaway then well placed just off the pace on the inside, moved to the two path near the five-sixteenths pole, was driven into upper stretch in the four path, chased under a drive between horses into the final furlong, made a bid outside the sixteenth-pole but was out-kicked and just missed the trifecta. GORRONO RANCH angled in under a tight hold while going to the front, raced inside on the first turn, showed the way down the backstretch, vied in the two path under extra left-rein pressure on the far turn, was asked for her best in upper stretch, led under a drive into the final furlong then was overtaken and weakened. STARLIT SKY showed early speed, rounded the first turn in the two path, stalked the pace on the outside, made a bid in the three path on the far turn, battled under a drive in upper stretch, dropped back into the final furlong and tired. MAPPY was taken under a tight hold early then became rank and had the rider fall back in the saddle at the seven-eighths pole, continued to tug hard on the bit into the first turn, saved ground while reserved off the pace, was roused outside the quarter-pole, spun into the stretch in the two path and failed to rally. STYLISH GEM was off a step slow, traveled around the first turn in the two path, settled at the rear, was roused in the three then four path on the far turn and failed to respond.
