NATIONAL ARCHIVE got steadied just after the start when ALETTE D'ORO came inwards, settled at the tail of the field along the inside through the first turn before tipping out three to four paths off the rail down the backstretch, tipped out four then five wide inside the seven-sixteenths and commenced a five wide bid through the turn into prominence to threaten the leader swinging five wide into upper stretch, dug in under a drive latched on to the outside, steadily gained to knock heads through to the finish and got the nod on the wire. SUMMER WHIRL got brushed at the start by FROM HELLO, raced just off the inside through the first turn before tracking three then four wide down the backstretch, came under coaxing at the five-sixteenths when the aforementioned foe ranged up outside, spun three wide into upper stretch having taken over command, dug in through the stretch under threat by the top one engaged in head to head combat through the final sixteenth and lost the bob on the line. NORTH END LADY tracked the pace along the inside and then just off the inside coming under encouragement at the five-sixteenths, angled five wide into upper stretch and offered up a mild kick to garner the show honors. LOVEUMISSUMEANIT just off the inside through the first turn, chased three then four wide under a ride from the five-sixteenths, angled out six to seven wide at the head of the stretch and offered up a mild kick. BACKCHECK grew fractious in the gate prior to the start twice, chased along the inside through the first turn and then two then three wide thereafter, came under encouragement with five-sixteenths to run, angled out six wide into upper stretch and improved position to the finish. BOXED WINE tracked the pace along the inside until tipped to the two path at the five-sixteenths to move around the backing up former leader, angled back in to the inside route into upper stretch and weakened in the late stages. FROM HELLO broke out at the start brushing SUMMER WHIRL, chased two then three wide under a ride from the five-sixteenths, angled out five wide at the top of the stretch and tired. ALETTE D'ORO came in just after the start forcing NATIONAL ARCHIVE to steady, pulled on the bit eagerly and spurted away on the pace just off the inside through the first turn and down the backstretch opening up a commanding lead midway, had the field take closer order approaching the far turn and tucked inside with seven-sixteenths to go, came under urging near the five-sixteenths under assault from a hot of challengers and was overwhelmed inside that station, cornered just off the inside into upper stretch and folded.
