Chart notes
MR. BUTCH tracked the early pace from the inside, moved up two wide to challenge FLAT OUT BLESSED for the lead at the quarter pole, took command entering the head of the lane, widened advantage steady encouragement then held late. STEAM POWERED settled in range two wide up the backstretch, picked up the pace three to four wide around the far turn, came three wide into the upper stretch, responded under firm handling and was getting to the winner late. FLAT OUT BLESSED led the way around the first turn then set a pressured pace up the backstretch, could not hold off the bid from the eventual winner past the quarter pole and steadily weakened off the top pair in the lane. COVERT QUALITY raced in the back through early stages, saved ground into the upper stretch and never threatened. JOEWILLY prompted the pace in early stages, weakened late on the backstretch and continued to tire in the lane. RIDING DOUBLE pressed the pace up the backstretch and came up empty around the final turn.
