Chart notes
BRIGADE COMMANDER moved in early, went around most of the first turn in the two path then shifted to the three path, settled in fourth position, was roused while in the three then four path on the far turn, rallied outside into upper stretch, closed strongly to get the lead outside the furlong marker, went clear outside the sixteenth-pole and held under steady urging. DESPERATE PROPOSAL hesitated and was off slow, spotted the front a few lengths, saved ground while unhurried the rear, was roused on the far turn, angled out in upper stretch, moved further out near the furlong marker and finished with good energy to just get the place. CHEVY MAN was taken under a tight hold early, shifted from the hedge to the two path early on the first turn, moved out inside the five-eighths pole then settled on the outside, traveled around the far turn in the three path, was roused outside the quarter-pole, swung out to the six path into the stretch and finished willingly to just miss the place while clear for the show. COGNOSCENTI went around the first turn in the two path, settled towards rear, was roused in the two then three path on the far turn, came into the stretch in the four path, moved out around the furlong marker and improved position. JHIRSCH angled in while going to the front, dropped from the two path to the rail very early on the first turn, showed the way down the backstretch, extended the advantage while inside on the far turn, came under a drive in upper stretch, lost the advantage to the winner outside the furlong marker and gave way. JUS TOO FLY broke through the front of the gate prior to the start but remained in his stall, took an awkward stride along the hedge early on the first turn, saved ground on that bend, settled off the pace, was roused in the two path on the far turn, spun into the stretch in the four path while in reasonable striking position but lacked the needed response. STILL A SOLDIER broke a step slow, raced in the three to four path on the turns, turned into the stretch in the five and failed to threaten. SKY MASTERSON raced in the three path early on the first turn then dropped to the two path before moving back to the three path, tracked the pace on the outside without cover, was asked in the three path on the far turn, chased into upper stretch and came up empty. WILLINTORISKITALL broke hard through the front of the gate prior to the start then was brought back around and reloaded, bobbled at the start then moved in early, raced inside to the two path on the first turn, stalked the pace on the inside of a foe, was given his cue in the two path on the far turn and capitulated.
