CONACHER bumped a rival at the start, moved forward outside three to four wide on the first turn, stalked from outside into the far turn, fanned out five wide leaving that bend, kept on in the stretch to bid inside a foe past the furlong marker, dueled with that rival, edged away late under steady handling to prevail. MODDASSAH was bumped into a rival at the start clipping heels and stumbling badly as a result, settled at the rear off the inside, made a swift advance outside foes circling four to six wide late on the far turn, struck the lead past the three-sixteenths, was engaged from inside by the eventual winner, was outfinished by that one. SHAMATEUR moved clear on the first turn by the three-quarters, set the pace near the inside, was challenged late on the far turn and headed past the quarter pole, kept on in the stretch to secure show honors while no match for the top pair. ENGLISH JUBILEE settled inside mid-pack, saved ground through both turns, tipped out a couple paths in the stretch for room, got up to round out the super. BIG BABY HENRY was forwardly-positioned inside early, ceded the lead content to stalk, switched out to race two to three wide, advanced on the far turn making a bid and putting a narrow head in front about the quarter, flattened out in the lane. SOL DE VERANO was bumped sideways at the start, raced under a hold between runners mid-pack two to three wide, lacked room in behind runners in mid-stretch and steadied, did not factor thereafter. DARE TO BE KING shifted in early racing last but one, saved ground both turns, came out in the stretch and was never near enough to threaten. MONDAY MORNING chased briefly from outside about four wide, was asked to keep pace three furlongs out but dropped back and failed to rally. FOLLOWING A STEWARDS' INQUIRY INTO THE START CONACHER WAS DISQUALIFIED FROM FIRST AND PLACED SECOND BEHIND MODDASSAH FOR INTERFERENCE.
