Chart notes
YOUR VALENTINO moved well in hand on the fence to lead up top by a slim margin along the backside while setting a moderate wind aided pace, continued to dictate terms while hounded outside through the turn, edged away from the pesky speed rival at the top of the lane and when set down on the rail at the furlong pole drew away to increase the winning margin at the wire. POSTURING settled near the back of the pack between horses, showed little at the rear in the turn, rallied shifting out three wide at the quarter pole picking up an inside runner, was full of run in the four path turning for home, angled to the rail at the furlong pole and closed in sharply for the second place share. RY PIE pressed the pace three deep along the backside, continued to force the issue outside running around the oval, was scrubbed on for more trying to keep up to the leader with a quarter mile to go, chased in vain three wide down the stretch and gave way for place share in the late stages. STONKS travelled three deep in the middle of the pack, made a sharp move around horses three wide through the turn, posed a threat outside in the five path turning for home but stalled at the eighth pole while dueling for second money. COLONEL MUSTARD had rail position in mid-pack, regressed while running just off the fence through the turn and could only mange to pass a straggler insdie at the sixteenth pole. THE NEW MAYBE prompted the pace between runners after the start, dropped back to track the lead duo while on the outside at the half, watched the lead pair in the second flight around the bend with runners on either side, was hard ridden but could not keep up to the front three by the quarter pole and tired in the three path in the last furlong.
