Chart notes
BLUSHING KAM off a step slow, went three wide through the first turn, settled off the pace still wide heading down the backstretch, made a forward move to put pressure on ELWIN approaching the half-mile pole, met little resistance from that one and went clear through the far turn, turned for home with a solid advantage and continued unchallenged to the wire. ELWIN seized the lead from the start, tried to temper the pace through the first half then quickened in respose to a bid from BLUSHING KAM halfway down the backstretch, could not keep up with that one through the turn but finished willingly to save the place. PERFECT DEAL got away well and was held up behind the pace racing three deep down the backstretch, launched a bid with three furlongs to run, finished up well but was unable to get to the top two while finishing well clear of the next horse. LAST PENALTY settled mid-pack inside early, then advanced to be close to the slow pace, saved ground through the far turn while giving chase to the top pair but was outfinished. ISOBELA allowed to settle early, then advanced to be up with the leaders turning onto the backstretch, pressed the tepid pace to the far turn, then was unable to keep up as the pace quickened, was kept to task but unable to make an impact. TIZ A BREAKUP tracked close up on the inside to the far turn then strugged to keep up late. EVE EVE settled near the back of the compact field and was never a threat. SPLOTCH off a step slow then was rank through the first turn, then under hard restraint heading down the backstretch, settled down near the half-mile pole but backed up through the far turn and had little to offer in the stretch. CACTUS CAT propped at the start, attempted to wheel, and was left far behind the field, finally got going in the proper direction after the rest of the field had fled the scene and trailed throughout.
