Chart notes
MO LUTE was forwardly placed through early stages, moved up to challenge for the lead at the quarter pole, battled into the lane, gained a slight edge in the final furlong and edged away. CINCO DE MO tracked the pace around the first turn and up the backstretch, came under a ride three wide at the head of the lane and got up to take place in final stride. FREEDOM TO SPEED led the way around the first turn and set the pace up the backstretch, took on the challenge from MO LUTE at the quarter pole, battled back into the final furlong, could not match strides with the winner but never gave up, ran on and got caught for place. BAXTER settled through early stages, urged to pick up the pace late on the far turn, came four wide into the upper stretch, had a mild improve but needed more for serious impact. TOMS PROSPECTOR raced off the pace, saved ground, put to a drive along the rail late on the far turn and failed to move on. STROLLIN NORMAN B raced in the back through early stages, hustled along three to four wide into the upper stretch and had no response. FIVE CHARLIE raced in contention around the first turn and up the backstretch, came up empty with three furlongs left to run and retreated.
