Chart notes

CASSON broke a step slow on the break, settled into stride watching the lead three while rating four deep outside foes down the back straight, made a sharp rally commencing at the half swooping around horses into the turn to seize command on the rail by the five sixteenths pole, shifted just off the fence for the stretch run and had plenty left in the tank to win comfortably over his stablemates at the finish line. JUPITER stalked near the rear in a tightly bunched group, narrowed the gap to sit behind the leader on the fence at the half, could not lengthen stride on the rail stuck behind the chasing trio midway on the turn, burst between rivals finally having a clear run at the quarter pole, shifted out three wide in upper stretch and was full of run late but could not get to the winner who had things all his own way. RUDE PROCEDURE pressed the pace between horses in the early going, moved in closer in the two path at the five sixteenths pole, chased the winner three wide at the top of the stretch and evened out at the furlong marker to be a clear third in the end. FISTFULOFMONEY poked his head in front at the start, was nudged in mid-backstretch trying to keep position, was shuffled back at the three furlong pole, quickly responded to counter by making a brief three wide move midturn, could not continue on at the top of the lane and stalled four wide in upper stretch. VALLEY OF KINGS was hustled on the rail early on down the backstretch to gain the lead inside at the half, relinquished the front to the eventual winner at the three eighths pole, dropped back some more with a quarter mile to go saving ground on the turn, folded in upper stretch and galloped across the finish line.
