Chart notes
TALBOT'S RIPLYN broke in then was bumped on both sides on the break, tracked three wide on the first turn, rated kindly watching the front duo down the backside under a snug hold by the half, waited for the cue to go in the second flight inside through the last turn, began to reach for more ground shifting out at the quarter pole, loomed menacingly outside straightening out for the drive and determinedly gave it her all to win the stretch battle just inching away at the wire. SPIRITED broke out exchanging bumps with the outside foe on the start, had a slim lead between horses on the first turn, was then content to shadow the pacesetter outside down the backstretch, moved in to reclaim the front outside midway on the last turn, was clinging onto the lead just off the fence in upper stretch, threw it down inside fighting to the wire but was denied in a photo when crossing the finish line. TAP MY DESIRE pressed the pace on the inside in the first of two turns, took sole command on the fence down the backside, was collared outside by the five sixteenths pole, dug in on the rail still in the hunt straightening out for home, could not match strides with the top pair who had it to themselves in the final furlong but did run on well enough to be a clear third at the wire. ORION BEACH bobbled slightly on the break, recovered to sit in midfield inside horses down the backside, was hustled on the far turn edging up inside challengers buy the quarter pole, shifted out three wide dueling for a minor share in mid-stretch, drifted out under left-handed encouragement coming to the sixteenth pole and finished up willingly to settle on the fringes in the end. CLEARWATER BEACH had an outside trip in mid-division in the early stages, ranged up to close the gap down the backstretch, was in the second flight outside having the eventual inside through the far turn, angled four wide having a chance for a piece of the prize turning for home, evened out by the furlong marker, had to be checked when brushed inside nearing the sixteenth pole and could not factor in the late drive. MIA MITOLE had a stalking role on the rail, was part of the group of three while running inside rivals down the backside, could not keep up to others making a move on the far turn to be the lone trailer at the quarter pole, swung out widest in the six path at the top of the lane and did manage to pass weary foes outside in upper stretch. YORKTON ROSE broke in and was bumped by the inside rival on the break, settled between runners part of the back threesome at the half mile marker, could not advance in the two path with rivals on either side running around the last turn, shifted to the three path turning for home but could not get involved down the lane. RATINGS UPGRADE (IRE) was checked slightly coming under the wire for the first time, stalked in the rear trio three deep on the outside along the back straight, made little headway going three wide on the last bend and in the four path had nothing to offer in the stretch drive. RIDERS CLAIM OF FOUL #2 CLEARWATER BEACH AGAINST #5 ORION BEACH IN MID-STRETCH WAS DISALLOWED
