Chart notes

WORKOUT AFFAIR was unhurried to co-trail on the outside down the backstretch, started to uncork a strong move going four wide swooping around horses at the three eighths pole, shifted to the four path reaching for more ground with every stride and under a well timed sustained rally got up in the last few jumps for the victory. MIKELLE sat alone watching the front three in the first turn, settled into a good rhythm far behind the lead three sensing the fast pace down the backside, closed in smartly making a move at the three eighths marker, had run on the rail at the top of the stretch, shifted out off a tiring early leader closing in at the furlong marker but could not finish with the winner outside in deep stretch. XARABELLA tracked inside in the beginning, took closer order on the rail by the half, moved in by the quarter pole, seized command outside in the two path at the furlong pole but weakened in the last sixteenth and had to settle for the show money. NORTH YORK had a stalking trip on the outside in the first part of the race, tried to rally with the eventual winner to her outside doing a good job keeping up until upper stretch, still was moving well closing in on others down the lane and got up for a minor role in the end. SUNLIT stalked inside horses in the first turn, continued inside making little movement down the backside, began to pick up a couple of rivals inside at the quarter pole, shifted three wide at the top of the lane and still showed good late interest to finish up at the wire. BELLA CLASSICA co-trailed on the inside in the early going, could still see the field alone at the rear with three eighths from home, shifted out four wide for the stretch drive and finished with intent passing many foes in the final furlong. HIBISCUS was loose up top moving quickly through the first turn, rolled along dictating terms at the half mile marker, had a diminishing advantage through the far turn, was collared outside at the furlong pole offering no resistance and wilted on the fence late. SERIOUS LADY travelled on the inside in the middle of the pack down the backside, made a brief move through the final turn taking the short way around and could not continue on while having the fence position down the stretch. EARENDEL had a tracking spot on the outside, chased the pacesetter narrowing the gap along the backstretch, was hard ridden going the wrong way at the quarter pole unable to keep up to the lead duo and faltered in the two path by mid-stretch. ARCTIC VELOCITY settled on the outside in the middle of the pack in the early parts of the race, was roused at the three eighths pole but could not keep up to others making a run on the far turn and emptied out by upper stretch.
