Chart notes
SMARTY HARDY vied outside of WILLBURTON for the lead soon after the start, briefly held a slim lead then vied out of the turn, hustled along two wide into the upper stretch, shook clear approaching the furlong marker, pulled away and was ridden out in the final sixteneth. WILBURTON broke on top then quickly took on the challenge from SMARTY HARDY, vied for the lead leaving the backstretch, briefly edged off the leader mid-way around the turn then dug back in, dueled inside of SMARTY HARDY into the upper stretch, could not match strides with eventual winner approaching the furlong marker, ran on with response and finished clearly second best. CROOKED AS CAN BE was off a step slow at the start, chased the top flight in opening stages, edged closer four wide near the quarter pole, sustained outside bid into the lane and out-dueled rival for show. I'LL MISS YOU raced in early contention, chased two to three wide around the turn, ran on into the lane and got outnodded for show. SATISFACTORY raced in range two wide then got shuffled back entering the turn, saved ground into the lane and flattened mid-stretch. I'M THISTY KID was off slow at the start, hustled along but had no early speed and trailed throughout.
