Chart notes
GOVERNOR SAM coaxed from the start, chased just off the inside from just off the pace, tipped out three wide placed to coaxing inside the five-sixteenths, angled four wide into upper stretch set down for the drive, rallied to take command just inside three-sixteenths to go and edged clear under a drive to score. ORTLEY AVENUE (IRE) broke out a step at the start and was corrected, showed the way in hand just off the inside and then along the inside under pressure from SUPERSONIC BLUE to the outside through swift splits, took the inside route at the quarter pole and floated to the two path into upper stretch under threat, got collared just inside the three-sixteenths and kept on under a drive to preserve the place honors between foes on the wire. NO EVIDENCE brushed the off side stall at the start then bumped lightly with SUPERSONIC BLUE, chased just off the inside and then along the inside coming under coaxing at the five-sixteenths, spun just off the inside into upper stretch, kept on under a drive and just secured the show honors on the line. INSUBORDINATION (IRE) broke in a step at the start bumping SUPERSONIC BLUE lightly, chased three then two wide coming under coaxing near the quarter pole, tipped four wide into upper stretch, stayed on one paced to the finish. JET SWEEP JOE brushed the off side stall at the start, chased along the inside under a ride from three furlongs out, cornered just off the inside into upper stretch and offered no response. SUPERSONIC BLUE got bumped lightly between foes at the start, prompted the leader from the outside three then two wide coming under encouragement with five-sixteenths to run, tipped three wide at the top of the stretch, tired.
