Chart notes
HURRICANE CLAIR was loose on the lead under a snug hold into the first turn, was unopposed setting a soft pace for these down the backside, cruised around the final bend increasing the advantage with every stride and was kept to the task to the wire to win convincingly at the finish line. WICKENHEISER was allowed to settle early on having a stalking role near the rear in the early stages on the race, began to reach for more ground when asked to go at the three-furlong pole, angled out three wide coming with a good late kick, could not threaten the winner down the lane but did finish up smartly outside to be the clear runner up. FORTYFIVESEVENTY was content to watch the pacesetter outside into the first turn, ranged up on the outside by the half to apply mild pressure on the leader, could not gain on the frontrunning winner while hard ridden with a quarter mile remaining, dueled inside for the place share in upper stretch but gave way at the furlong pole to settle for the show money instead. ZISISIT (IRE) had an inside tracking position into the first turn, dropped back slightly midway down the backside to sit in midfield at the half, was urged for more run at the five sixteenths pole but was unable to offer a rally and finished up on the fence one paced for a minor role in the end. AMI'S GIRL hesitated on the break to trail in the early stages, caught up to a runner inside by the half mile marker, could not quicken with the field by the three eighths pole and did not factor in the stretch running.
