Chart notes
SPIRIT OF NEW YORK coaxed from the gate, chased three then two wide in pursuit from mid pack, came under encouragement at the five-sixteenths, angled six wide into upper stretch and came in slightly straightened away albeit remaining in his rightful path to ensure CRISTOBAL couldn't nudge his way out from in behind THREE THIRTEEN, seized command just inside the three-sixteenths pole and edged clear under a drive to score. DILIELLO chased along the inside and then just off the inside coming under a ride at the three-eighths marker, angled five wide into upper stretch, offered up a mild kick. CRISTOBAL chased just off the inside from just off the pace, came under encouragement at the five-sixteenths, angled five wide into upper stretch, attempted to tip out but had SPIRIT OF NEW YORK come slightly inwards and was forced to pause in behind THREE THIRTEEN, then kept on when re-engaged by the rider to secure the show honors. FUNNY FACTOR coaxed from the start, chased three wide under a ride from three furlongs out, angled six wide into upper stretch and improved position to the finish. TIM AND SAM struck the off side stall at the start, chased three then four wide under coaxing from the three-eighths pole, went seven wide into upper stretch, passed tired rivals. ILLMATIC coaxed from the gate, showed the way dueling along the inside with THREE THIRTEEN to his outside, came under coaxing just off the inside three furlongs from home, got out through the latter portion of the turn four wide carrying out his main pace rival five wide into upper stretch, yielded the front straightened away and weakened. THREE THIRTEEN coaxed from the gate, dueled two then three wide coming under coaxing near the quarter pole, got carried out five wide into upper stretch when his main pace rival got out four wide to his inside, got overhauled in tandem with ILLMATIC straightened away and tired. JAXER coaxed from the start, crossed directly to the inside, chased along the inside under urging from the seven-sixteenths, continued in the inside route into upper stretch and tired. SUPER DAVE grew fractious in the gate prior to the start, chased along the inside under a ride from three furlongs out, angled three to four wide into upper stretch and tired. WAMO got away to a hesitant start, chased just off the inside and came under brief coaxing near the seven-sixteenths, got eased up approaching the quarter pole before being pulled up in the vicinity of the eighth pole, walked with the outrider to the main track, then got vetted for heat before being transported off the main course in the equine ambulance.
