Chart notes
LEON BLUE got floated three wide into the first turn by SOUNDS LIKE A PLAN, then tucked to the rail through the remainder of the opening bend, chased just off the inside down the backstretch taking closer order midway, tucked inside through the far turn coming under coaxing at the three-eighths marker, angled five wide into upper stretch carrying out SMOOTH BREEZE slightly, had that foe come inwards straightened away and was carried in two paths to the three-sixteenths, dug in under a drive head to head with SMOOTH BREEZE issuing a challenge to the leader inside the final furlong, overhauled that one in concert with his main danger seventy yards from home, then gamely dug in to prevail on the wire. SMOOTH BREEZE raced along the inside through the first turn, then chased three then two wide coming under encouragement at the five-sixteenths, went six wide into upper stretch floated out a bit by LEON BLUE, then came inwards straightened away and carried in LEON BLUE two paths to the three-sixteenths, dug in under a drive head to head through the final furlong fighting on game but was ultimately bested at the end. SOUNDS LIKE A PLAN came out at the start bumping I'M DUE into OUTSOURCE, established the front and showed the way in hand along the inside before spurting away through the latter portion of the first turn, attempted to take a breather and had the field quickly take closer order midway down the backstretch and was given a notch to work with into the far turn shaking away to a safe lead once more with five-sixteenths to go, swung three then two wide into upper stretch let out for the drive, dug in under threat from a pair of foes and was caught with seventy yards to the finish while safe for the show honors. OUTSOURCE broke a half a beat slow and was bumped by I'M DUE due to pressure from SOUNDS LIKE A PLAN, chased three then two wide under a ride from three furlongs out, went seven wide into upper stretch and offered up a mild kick. I'M DUE got bumped at the start by SOUNDS LIKE A PLAN and in turn bumped OUTSOURCE, chased just off the inside and then along the inside under urging from the three-eighths marker, spun just off the inside into upper stretch and tired.
