Chart notes
MACAW showed speed between horses, was eased back off the pace outside the five-eighths pole then angled out while put to urging, chased in the three then four path on the turn, was driven into the stretch in the five path, pursued the leader on the outside into the final furlong, gained to draw even near the sixteenth-pole and got up under strong handling to prevail. SCHLOMO showed speed then stalked the pace on the outside, made a bid in the three path on the turn, took the lead outside the quarter-pole, was roused in the four path into the stretch, inched clear near the three-sixteenths pole, led under a drive to the sixteenth-pole then was headed by the winner, fought with that foe to the finish and just missed while clear for the place. SHIPMAN showed speed then set the pace, went around the turn in the two path while under extra left-rein pressure, lost the advantage outside the quarter-pole, chased the runner-up into the final furlong and weakened but was clear for the show. MASTERWORK bumped with a rival at the start, showed speed on the inside of foes, dropped back approaching the nine-sixteenths, chased inside to the two path on the turn, spun into the stretch in the three path and tired. ARCADIAN angled in while dropping well off the pace, moved from the two path to the rail very early on the turn, saved ground from that point into the stretch and was no factor. RIDE UP tossed his head at the start and was off slow then stumbled leaving the gate, spotted the front several lengths, settled near the back on the outside, was roused in the four then three path on the turn, turned into the stretch in the four path then angled further out and failed to threaten.
