Chart notes
PALACE VIEW (IRE) travelled between foes in mid-division down the backstretch, was nudged on along the turn narrowing the margin by the five sixteenths pole, sat behind the embattled trio three wide in upper stretch, had clear run angling inside at the furlong pole, surged to the lead with a sixteenth remaining and held safe for the win. AGILE DANCER had the rail position in mid-pack in the early stages, waited on the fence behind rivals well in hand throughout the bend, shifted out five wide for the drive to the wire, had aim on the leaders in mid-stretch, was closing in on the winner late but it wasn't enough at the finish line. LIL BIT GANGSTA had a good spot three deep tracking the lead duo down the back straight, took closer order to be three wide in the mix up top by the three eighths pole, shifted out in the four path in the hunt between rivals in upper stretch, switched back to the incorrect lead while dueling outside at the furlong marker and held on late to be a non-threatening third in the end. DREAMS AND SCHEMES was bumped outside and crowded between horses finally checking out to trail down the backside, began to pick up runners three wide outside at the half, held his own still going three wide through the turn, angled out widest in the six-path turning for home and ran on evenly to the wire for a minor role. WAR IN CHARGE was bumped a couple of times leaving the gate, pulled the rider to the lead under a snug hold inside a challenger down the backside, had a narrow lead on the rail around the bend, was clinging onto the lead in the two path inside a trio of rivals at the top of the lane, had little left late and yielded between foes in deep stretch. SOONER LUNAR veered in sharply for a few strides before the rider could straighten him out, hounded the leader outside down the backstretch, set the pace going head to head with the frontrunner outside around the bend, battled three deep between rivals in upper stretch but needed more late when folding with runners on each side in the last sixteenth. CABERNAYDO had one beaten along the backside having a stalking role in the early going, regressed inside a rival to be at the rear midway through the turn, shifted out four wide for the stretch drive but failed to fire down the lane.
