Chart notes
REACH FOR THE TOP settled off the leading pair stalking outside a rival, went about three wide on the turn advancing while getting mild encouragement at the five-sixteenths, struck the lead at the three-sixteenths, drew clear in mid-stretch under urging, came out a bit late while weakening but held. WHERE'S SAMNBAILEY settled toward the rear off the inside racing in the three to four path into and on the turn, swung six wide into the stretch, was gaining steadily on the leader but too late. LOVE YOU LIPPY pressed the pacesetter up the backstretch well in hand and rated, drew even and took a narrow lead past the five-sixteenths, was overtaken narrowly in upper stretch, weakened the final furlong. MASTER ARAGORN broke just a step slowly, lacked early speed despite encouragement, switched out heading up the backstretch, went two to three wide on the turn, came out a bit further in the stretch and improved position past tiring rivals. JIMMY'S AFFAIR broke a step slowly, was encouraged along inside, saved ground on the turn, came out for the drive, failed to menace. KITTY'SSPEEDYSTARR broke inwardly, soon went to the lead inside, set a pressured pace, gave way. LET'S BE FIRST chased from inside mid-pack, came out four to five wide in upper stretch, faded.
