Chart notes
ROCK IT ROB broke in at the start bumping SMARTKENZIE, dueled inside of CERRO RICO from the get go widening away from the rest through the turn, got roused taking the inside route into upper stretch, edged clear under a drive to the eighth pole, held clear to the finish. SUNDAY BOY hustled from the gate, chased five then four wide down the backstretch before tucking three wide through the turn coming under coaxing at the three-eighths marker, swung three to four wide for home, offered up a mild kick. PEPPER J broke out at the start and came under coaxing, chased six paths off the inside down the backstretch before tucking three wide into the turn, got ridden along at the seven-sixteenths, angled five wide into upper stretch and improved position to the finish. SMARTKENZIE got bumped at the start by ROCK IT ROB, who broke inwards, chased three then two wide under ride from three furlongs out, spun three wide into upper stretch and improved position through to the wire. DIAMOND CHILD got bumped at the start by CERRO RICO, chased four paths off the inside down the backstretch and then just off the inside through the turn urged along from midway, cornered just off the inside into upper stretch and tired. CERRO RICO broke out a step at the start bumping DIAMOND CHILD, came under hustling and dueled from the two path with ROCK IT ROB to his inside, widened away as a pair from the rest of the field, came under coaxing with five-sixteenths to go, spun just off the inside into upper stretch in the midst of being shaken off and tired through to the end.
