Chart notes
NAPA SPIRIT (IRE) prompted the pace between rivals in the beginning, was reined in to track the pacesetter while shifting out at the seven sixteenths pole, moved in with a quarter mile to run, pounced three wide in upper stretch to take the lead easily by the furlong marker and was kept to the task to hold safe for the win. TRICKY MAGICIAN stalked on the fence close to the back of the pack early on, edged up in the two path midpoint of the turn, shifted to the three path looking for a seam at the top of the lane and. GALVASTON settled in mid-division with runners on either side in the early stages, had to taken a hold of coming up to rivals quickly leaving the three eighths marker, crept closer three wide between foes around the bend, angled out in the four path in the mix turning for home and fought on between horses in deep stretch holding for the show money. DRYDEN was void of early foot seeing the field down the back straight, shifted out three wide at the five sixteenths pole ranging up through the turn, angled out five wide for the drive, did not switch leads down the lane, still finished with intent nevertheless and was gaining on the place share rivals late but had to settle on the fringes in the end. MAMBA ON THREE pressed the pace on the rail down the backside, was checked losing the inside position at the three furlong pole, retreated further midway around the bend inside rivals, re-rallied on the fence in upper stretch to duel for a minor share in the lane but faded in the final seventy yards. NICHIREN travelled three deep in the middle of the pack along the backside, took the overland route going four wide keeping pace outside rivals on the turn, was floated out widest in the six path at the top of the stretch but could not get involved in the stretch drive. BLUES POWER had the lead three deep unable to get to the rail along the backside, finally cleared off getting to the fence at the three eighths pole to be loose up top running around the bend, was collared outside turning for home, offered no resistance and folded inside runners by the eighth pole.
