Chart notes
MARYLAND SPIRIT stalked from outside, advanced four wide on the turn, kept on in the stretch in a prolonged bid, just got the nod. AMI'S CRY was urged forward to take the lead after the opening three-sixteenths, contested the pace inside on or just off the rail, was challenged by foes inside and out in the stretch, dueled courageously but just lost the nod. NOYZEE GIRL moved forward inside, tracked the leaders, was up close and under a hold coming past the quarter pole in behind, found room inside in the stretch, made a mild bid that was not enough. MISTY EYED bumped a rival and steadied at the start, settled at the back off the inside, fanned eight to nine wide turning for home, improved position. SCAT HUMOR shifted in up the backstretch, saved ground on the turn, lacked the needed late kick. KIMBERLINA chased in behind two to three wide, steadied at the seven-sixteenths, dropped back, came out in upper stretch and ran on. SULTRY SOPHIE was bumped at the start, switched out early, went four to five wide on the turn and under urging three furlongs out, swung seven to eight wide, failed to rally. SHE'S SO CROATIAN moved clear early but was soon joined by an inside foe, vied outside two to three wide, was under urging by the five-sixteenths, dropped back and faded.
