COUNTRY LIVING broke sharp clearing away on the rail up top along the backside, set the pace while shadowed outside through the turn, repelled the early challenger by the quarter pole, opened up with a furlong to go, raced greenly loose up top switching leads for a while, got back to the correct lead with a sixteenth left to run and drew off again late for the front running score. DEMBA settled on the rail in the third flight rating kindly, edged up while shifting out still keeping a close eye on the front trio at the three eighths marker, angled out four wide in the hunt at the top of the lane, closed in when the leader became unfocused up top at the furlong marker but in the end could only chase the frontrunning winner home while clearly second best at the wire. ALPHA KADIN was near the rear between rivals at the five-furlong marker, started to mount a rally angling out three wide with three eighths remaining, had clear run five wide turning for home, drifted out in the seven path mid-stretch under left handing asking, closed in belatedly in the late stages and surged right at the wire to the win show money photo by a whisker on the outside. DOADSTER broke out on the start, travelled between foes in the middle of the pack down the back straight, ran evenly in the first part of the turn, shifted to the outside going past a rival picking up the bit at the five sixteenths pole, moved out six wide straightening for the drive, was closing in belatedly getting up for the show money in deep stretch but was nosed out right at the finish line on the outside and settled on the fringes in the end. LUMBERYARD stalked three deep at the rear midway down the backside, lagged behind the pack on the turn, shifted out three wide with three eighths to go starting to get into gear, found his best stride late moving seven wide in upper stretch and finished with good interest passing many runners outside in the final furlong. COMMANDER WORSLEY settled on the fence close to the back of the pack down the backstretch, closed the gap on the leaders taking the short way around the bend, shifted just outside two wide looking for a seam, drifted to the four path at the furlong marker trying to get up for a minor placing and finished up only mildly going back to the rail in deep stretch. FIELD HOCKEY was fractious prior to the start unseating the rider, settled on the outside in midfield down the back straight, regressed while inside challengers midway on the bend, angled four wide at the top of the long lane, shifted out further making little gain by mid-stretch and had little to offer in the final eighth of a mile. BOB AND JULES broke outwards on the start, improved outside runners along the backside to prompt the issue at the half, battled outside on the lead around the turn with the eventual winner, could not keep up by the quarter pole and tired between foes at the furlong marker. FOURLEGSGOOD had a good spot isolated on the rail watching the engaged pair in the early stages, had a chance on the fence at the top of the stretch, could not find another gear late and folded inside rivals in the last sixteenth. A LA CARTE was pinched at the break to trail the field in the beginning, offered a mild run three wide from the half mile pole outside rivals to the three eighths marker, was pushed out further with five sixteenths left to run, drifted out widest to the eight path turning for home, emptied out in upper stretch and galloped across the finish line.
