Chart notes
LAUGH A LOT seized the early lead, then proceeded to dictate very slow early fractions, easily shook off a challenge from CLEVELAND POWER at the five-sixteenths marker, then opened up in the stretch, won well clear under a hand ride. OBI KENOBI settled off the pace racing two-wide, responded when set down at the quarter pole, and produced a good stretch rally to gain the place with no chance to catch the winner. CLEVELAND POWER stalked LAUGH A LOT to the far turn, made a try for the lead midway on the turn but could not keep up when that rival quickened away, weakened in the stretch, and lost the place. CANNON MAN was a little slow into stride, then moved up to be close to the leaders through the first turn, then backed off a bit down the backstretch, came under a ride as the pace quickened heading into the far turn, but could not keep up. ROAD TO MUSIC CITY stumbled badly at the start, trailed throughout, then made an unsuccessful bid to improve a placing in the final yards.
