Chart notes
MEDORO was a bit rank when tracking in hand from the two path early and on the backstretch, drew closer around the far turn, tipped three wide into the lane, bid outside the top pair at the eighth pole, took over midstretch and drove clear. GRAND SLAM SMILE set the pace from inside, took pressure on the far turn, resisted into the final furlong, relinquished the lead to MEDORO midstretch and stayed on to secure second. LUNAR IMPACT (GB) was closest in pursuit from the two path, challenged GRAND SLAM SMILE around the far turn, fought between rivals in midstretch, could not summon the needed late kick and saved third. VENGANZA sat off the pace on the inside, crept closer in the middle stages, was patiently handled continuing to save ground on the far turn, roused and moved off the fence at the top of the stretch, finished willingly between foes late and got up for a minor award. ALPHA BELLA raced in mid-pack between foes early, went two wide into the far turn, angled out and entered the lane in the five path, kept trying through the final furlong but got edged for a minor placing. QUEEN MAXIMA stalked the pacesetter from inside, followed patiently behind the leader around the far turn, roused in upper stretch, lacked room inside GRAND SLAM SMILE midstretch, gained a clear path in deep stretch but was too late. RAW ABILITY (IRE) saved ground towards the rear, hugged the rail to the stretch, moved out in the lane but ran into traffic at the sixteenth pole, moved inward and could not regain momentum. SUNSET GLORY (IRE) chased from off the pace three deep, moved into range in the middle stages, came under a ride three wide on the far turn, chased four deep in upper stretch and flattened out in the furlong grounds. NADETTE (FR) trailed from inside in the opening stages, traveled two wide into the second bend, steered out into the lane and failed to menace. OMNIPONTET (BRZ) got squeezed between rivals early, angled over to the rail after, coaxed along the inside then two wide on the far turn, moved out in the stretch and lacked further response. QUATRO Y VINTE (URU) raced two wide well off the pace early, stayed off the rail to the stretch and never made an impact.
