Chart notes
SAN JUAN HILL was far back racing three wide, swept into contention late on the turn, then finished strong under steady handling to be along in time. WISE ANCHOR dueled three wide early, chased. ASTROLOGYSPROTEGE broke well vied inside early, the pulled away with WISE ANCHOR after passing the half-mile pole, let that rival through the turn and into the stretch while clear of the rest, battled gamely down the lane before being passed by the winner in the final yards. NORTHERNREFLECTION lacked speed and raced at the back inside of SAN JUAN HILL through the early stages, kept to the inside through the turn, and was kept to task, finished well, but lacked a winning kick. COUNTRY GUY lacked the speed to contest the early pace, chased from well behind early, then made up some ground through the turn but could not sustain a bid and was outfinished in the late stages. DREWMAZING briefly pressed the early pace before backing off before the half, made a mild move through the turn, then weakened in upper stretch and was unable to threaten late. SPINNING ACES hustled hard from the break, vied between horses for the early lead, dropped out after passing the half-mile pole, and steadily faded.
