Chart notes
AMERICAN GUY broke in at the start and was a little slow into stride, settled behind the pacesetters down the backstretch while under a snug hold, launched a bid with three furlongs to run, came even with THAT'S APRIORITY near the top of the stretch, dueled that game rival down the lane, edged clear in the final furlong and prevailed. THAT'S APRIORITY broke well, made the front with HES THE BOMB TOO briefly pressing the pace to the outside, went clear through the turn, dug in under a threat from AMERICAN GUY near the quarter pole, dueled to mid-stretch, then gave way grudgingly. LEOBOBANNA chased mid-pack three-wide, had some trouble changing leads in the stretch but managed to hold third. GIVE ME A TRY was outpaced from the start, chased the field through the turn, was never a threat, and passed a tired rival in the stretch. HES THE BOMB TOO hustled from the start, pressed the leader to the turn, then came under heavy pressure but did not respond and faltered in the stretch.
