Chart notes
AVERY'S GEM settled mid-pack, launched a bid from the three-furlong pole, came four wide into the stretch, and finished up well under steady handling and intermittent urging to be up in the final jumps. ALVARADO CAT broke well and dueled with IMPERIAL DYNASTY into the turn, put a head in front with three furlongs left, had a clear lead at the top of the stretch, kept on well but just failed to last. MATZOH BALL was under a ride from the start, was unable to join the early pace battle, kept to the inside through the turn, loomed a threat to deep stretch, but was outfinished in the final yards. TOTALLY ADDICTED broke slowly, was the distant trailer to the stretch, saved ground throughout, and kept on to improve. OCEAN JACKPOT broke well, tracked mid-pack three to four wide, bid five-wide into the stretch and flattened out. IMPERIAL DYNASTY broke sharply, dueled early with ALVARADO CAT, was in contention through the turn then weakened in the stretch. QUINNSALTYOFFICER pressed the pace three-wide into the turn, was overtaken after passing the quarter pole, and had nothing to offer late. J L PAC MAN got away awkwardly, chased the main pack to the turn, then was done before turning into the stretch.
