ICE BREAKER away well and stalked the leaders through the stretch the first time while saving ground along the inside, maintained a striking position from along the rail in the run down the backside, rallied along the rail entering the final turn, shifted off the rail to split rivals entering the lane, and closed willingly to prove best. MISS THE HYPE unhurried early while dropping back to trail entering the stretch the first time, advanced three wide midway down the backside to force the issue entering the final turn, and closed determinedly five wide in the drive to just miss. FOOTHILLS BLVD. broke sharply and raced to the lead from along the rail entering the stretch the first time, set a pressured pace from along the rail through the second turn and in the run down the backside, continued to battle for the lead at the rail through the final turn, was overtaken entering the lane, but gave way grudgingly late in a solid effort. LICORICE away alertly and battled for the leader from along the rail entering the first turn, before easing back into a tracking trip entering the stretch the first time, continued with a tracking trip in the run down the backstretch and into the final turn, but lacked the needed closing response when called upon. CERTIFIABLE rushed up after being a bit slow into stride and pressed the pace from the outside of FOOTHILLS BLVD entering the stretch the first time, struggled to keep tabs on that rival entering the backstretch, and dropped back to trail in the run down the backstretch, and wasn't persevered with late while being eased over the final furlong.
