Chart notes
WICKED MELODY raced off the pace, two wide on the backside, moved up on the turn, rallied four wide passing the quarter pole, charged to the lead, drifted in slightly in front of REAL BLUES at the furlong marker and pulled away. REAL BLUES tracked on the inside, waited briefly for room along the inside on the far turn, then rallied three wide passing the quarter pole, steadied behind the winner at the furlong marker and was clearly second best. FULLY COMMITTED set the pace on the inside, dueled on the far turn, weakened and stayed on well to earn the show spot. GO YOSHIDA pulled while close up early three wide, then tracked outside a rival, bid entering the far turn, dueled, led briefly and tired in the stretch run. JACKSON'S LEGACY broke a bit awkwardly, raced off the pace inside, gave way, then was eased up in the stretch run and walked off. Following a Stewards' Inquiry into the stretch run and Jockey Objection by the rider of REAL BLUES, the race was declared official.
