Chart notes
WELAKA stalked the pace from three wide to be well placed down the backside, rallied steadily leaving the quarter pole, was set to a drive in upper stretch and responded well pulling away late in the lane. PRINCE OF AYRSHIRE unhurried in the early going to be near the back of the field, remained in that position to the head of the stretch and rallied well belatedly in the lane to gain the place. ADIOS BUCCANEER prompted the pace to the far turn, rallied to assume command on the far turn, led to midway down the lane and was outfinished while weakening late. TEMPUS slow early to be the trailer turning for home and passed tiring rivals in the stretch. ANCHISES pulled along the inside into the first turn having to be steadied repeatedly off heels of the pacesetter, settled to a tracking position on the backstretch and wen evenly. MAXIMUM FAITH set the pace on a well rated lead to the half mile pole, responded when challenged into the far turn, battled to midway down the lane and tired late. THE DOORMAN raced mid-pack to the half mile pole, mounted a brief bid into the final bend and flattened out.
