Chart notes
MOR SPRING SPIRIT set the pace on a well measured lead while well in hand, responded when called upon to quickly draw away and finished as much best while kept to task. TOP RECRUIT unhurried early to be near the rear of the compact field, made a steady advance on the turn and finished willingly to be second best. OUTHUSTLE prompted the pace for a half, was no match for the winner and ran-on through the lane to hold the show. SPAN OF CONTROL reserved to race at the rear of the field and showed mild late interest passing weaker in the lane. WHERE YOU WAS tracked the leaders from between rivals on the turn and went evenly lacking a closing bid. MEANT TO BE LUCKY raced along the fence pulling and rank early throwing head while resisting rider restraint after the first eighth, dropped to the rear on the turn after settling and faded as a non-threat.
