UPPITY UP tracked the leaders in a clear pocket mid-pack down the backside, rallied leaving the quarter pole swinging six wide at the top of the lane to engage the leaders midway down the stretch and drew away in the final sixteenth under a confident ride. DOMINANT STRANGER stalked the leader for three-quarters, commenced a steady bid to threaten at the eighth pole and was outfinished by the winner settling to be second best. STARSHIP MACYS opened a clear, uncontested lead on the first turn, maintained that advantage for three-quarters while setting a quick pace, battled to midway in the stretch and tired in the late going. TOOTSIE TOES was one-paced as a non-factor. SECOND EXCHANGE reserved near or at the rear of the field for five-eighths, was called upon entering the final turn and failed to respond.
