Chart notes
CAN DO ANDREW was away in good order and led the way around the first turn, continued to lead the way under pressure from outside running MO LUTE up the backstretch, took on the challenge from aforementioned foe mid-way around the far turn, matched strides and came under a ride turning for home, dueled along the rail holding a slight edge past the furlong marker, dug in gamely under strong left handed pressure, raced noses apart approaching the wire and prevailed. MO LUTE broke on top and raced just off the leader around the first turn, applied pace pressure to CAN DO ANDREW up the backstretch then moved up to race on equal terms mid-way around the turn, came under a ride entering the head of the lane, dueled outside of rival into the final furlong, fought on gamely, raced noses apart approaching the wire and just missed. IOWA CLUB settled midpack around the first turn and rated of the top trio up the backstretch, saved ground then hustled along three wide into the lane, was no match for clear top pair but sustained bid and finished clear over the rest. MIDNIGHT RULES raced off the pace, saved ground around the far turn and improved position without threatening. KOBE'S CAUSE tracked the top pair up the backstretch, failed to advance under a ride around the far turn and steadily faded. DREADPIRATEROBERTS failed to move into contention.
