Chart notes
GLAD VON D was forwardly placed around the first turn and stalked the pacesetter up the backstretch, moved up to challenge MY HEARTS ON FIRE at the quarter pole, took over the lead, came two wide into the upper stretch, widened advantage under left handed pressure and remained clear. JACKIE SPARROW raced three paths into the first turn, angled inside and tracked the pace, had to wait for a clear path along the inside going by the quarter pole, slipped through along the rail entering the head of the lane and sustained a steady bid for second best. ESPERANZA'S SPIRIT raced four paths wide into the first turn, settled in the early going then picked up the pace late on the backstretch, was ridden along four wide around the far turn, came five paths wide entering the head of the lane, shifted in a couple paths, edged up closer, poised a threat then ran on evenly late. MY HEART'S ON FIRE sped to the lead at the start, set the pace around the first turn and up the backstretch, got collared by the eventual winner late on the far turn and tired in the drive. AINTNOSHAKIN KID raced near mid-pack mid-way up the backstretch, hustled along three wide in range around the far turn then retreated in the lane. HARD SPIRITS dropped to last after the opening quarter, saved ground throughout and had no response when called upon.
