Chart notes
LUCKY FORCE broke sharply, but was taken in hand and dropped back to trail entering the stretch the first time, began to advance two wide midway down the backside, continued with a two wide move into the final turn, and closed determinedly three wide in the drive to get up in the final strides. NAUVOO away well and rushed to a clear lead entering the first turn, widened his advantage through the stretch the first time and through the second turn, held that clear advantage through the final turn and into the lane, and just failed to last. NEWHART settled well off the early pace while saving ground at the rail through the stretch the first time, maintained his position into the second turn while continuing to save ground, raced into a striking position in the run to the final turn, rallied from along the rail through the final turn, and finished willingly from along the rail in the drive to garner a share. STRAIT OF GEORGIA away alertly and stalked the leader into the stretch the first time while saving ground at the rail, held his position through the second turn and in the run down the backside, rallied two wide entering the final turn, but needed more late while finishing three wide in the drive. PURSUE settled off the lone pacesetter through the stretch the first time while racing one out from the rail, held that position in the run down the backside, rallied three wide while struggling to keep up through the final turn, and finished from along the rail in the drive. TOUCH THE SUN settled off the early pace while racing two out from the rail entering the stretch the first time, dropped back to trail in the run to the final turn, and failed to respond when called upon.
