BRIAN'S DE LEIGHT tracked the leaders into the backstretch the first time while racing two out from the rail, held his position through the stretch the second time while racing two wide, commenced his bid smartly one out from the rail entering the final turn, assumed command in mid stretch and inched clear late to prove best. CURLIN ROCKS tracked the leaders from along the rail in the run down the backside and through the stretch the second time, moved up to force the issue three wide from between rivals in the run to the final turn, took a narrow advantage into the final turn, but was unable to fend off BRIAN'S DE LEIGHT late while proving clearly second best. KEEP IT COMING settled off the contested early pace while racing two out from the rail entering the backstretch the first time, held his position through the stretch the second time and into the backside, launched his bid three wide entering the final turn, and finished two out from the rail in the drive to garner a share. THOMPSON settled well off the early pace while saving ground at the rail in the run down the backside the first time, continued to bide his time well off the contested early pace through the third turn and into the backside the final time, rallied smartly two wide entering the final turn, and finished evenly late while finished along the inside. BARNEY GOOGLE unhurried early while dropping well behind the field entering the backstretch the first time, continued to lag well behind the others through the stretch the second time and into the backstretch, commenced his bid two wide from the back of the pack entering the final turn, and improved his position late while racing two wide in the drive. SLOOP JOHN B rushed up four wide entering the backstretch to track the leaders in the run down the backstretch the first time, maintained that trip through the third turn and into the backstretch the final time, loomed four wide approaching the final turn, and into the final turn, but was outfinished in the late stages. Y VEE R raced to the lead from along the rail entering the first turn, set a pressured pace from the inside of BACK SHACK in the run down the backside the first time, continued their tussle on the front entering through the stretch the second time and in the run down the backside, disposed of his pace rival entering the final turn, but faded in the late going. BACK SHACK pressed the pace from the outside of Y VEE R entering the backstretch the first time, continued to force the issue two wide through the third turn and in the run down the backstretch the final turn, was unable to keep pace with that rival nearing the final turn, and weakened over the final furlong.
