Chart notes
SLIM SLOW SLIDER stalked the pace from the inside to the far turn, waited along the fence for racing room on the bend, split rivals in upper stretch surging through an opening three wide rallying to engage the pacesetter inside the eighth pole and finished well to be clear late. STARSHIP EMPIRE reserved off the pace to the far turn rallied five wide with a steady rally to be gaining late and claim the place. RUNAWAY HARRY set a well rated pace for three-quarters, responded when called upon turning for home, dug-in gamely through the lane and was outfinished late in the drive. THE BEST DISTANCE prompted the pace down the backisde, rallied on the turn and flattened out coming home. LEAVE IT TO KITTEN went evenly never posing a threat. STRIKE APPEAL was reserved off the pace racing mid-pack to the far turn and failed to respond when called upon.
