Chart notes
DADDY HEY DADDY broke well and was guided to the front, established command midway through the first turn, rated nicely with only some mild pressure from a couple of rivals a length back, dug in under a threat from DIVA BEACH at the top of the stretch, holding that rival at bay despite racing on the left lead, faced another threat from CC COLA in the final yards, switched over to the correct lead and would not be denied. CC COLA settled well off the pace through the early stages, launched a bid midway through the far turn, was trying to get out in the clear in mid-stretch but found the path blocked, dove to the inside near the chute, surged in the final yards, and just missed. DIVA BEACH stalked the pace set by DADDY HEY DADDY two-wide, moved up to challenge late on the far turn, dueled that rival down the stretch, was unable to get by, and had to settle for the minor award. BASILE away well, tracked close up on the inside just behind the pacesetters, was always close to the far turn, loomed a threat at the top of the stretch, but could not find the winning kick. ARARATTA was one of the last to break, settled inside at the back of the pack through the first turn, tracked three-wide near the rear of the field, tried to rally under a drive from the three furlong pole, and finished with good energy while never a serious threat. AWREE unhurried early, raced in the rear of the pack, then improved position showing mild interest in the stretch. WALKSONWATER raced close up while behind held up three-wide behind the pace, came four-wide into the stretch then flattened out. LIAM'S MIST raced in mid-pack then lacked a bid. SWAMP QUEEN settled near the rear of the field, tried to mount a rally in the stretch, but was outfinished and could not improve.
