CONFUCIUS was reluctant to load, then backed into the gate from the front before the start, then allowed to settle into stride after the break, raced between horses in the tracking group through the early stages, moved up late on the backstretch run to be within striking distance leaving the three-furlong pole, was in a box late on the turn but got clear in upper stretch finished well under steady handling and out-gamed a couple of rivals to prevail. TITANIUM DEAL was the outside horse of three contesting the early pace well clear of the rest, went on with SEITAN into the turn, put a head in front near the quarter pole under confident handling, responded when set down in upper stretch, but was outfinished in the final yards by the winner. TONI'S INFERNO was the inside horse of the three tracking the early leaders, advanced closer heading into the turn, then went out a path and continued to advance through the far turn, had trouble keeping to a straight path in the stretch, and came up short. JACKSON D was shuffled back shortly after the start and last into the clubhouse turn, bided time at the back to the half-way point, then advanced into contention late on the far turn, tipped out to the four path and rallied, but came up short of the minor award. YOU'RE ON MUTE broke in at the start, avoided contact but caused a chain reaction to the inside, raced near the back through the first turn, then advanced closer in the run down the backstretch, continued to creep forward through the far turn, then finished up in the stretch with good interest but was outfinished. ICE'M UP BOYS was not asked for speed and settled near the rear of the field through the early stages, launched a three-wide bid on the far turn that carried out five wide into the stretch, but was unable to threaten. FIRST CLASS HARLOW settled three-wide with the second flight tracking well behind the pacesetting trio, moved up approaching the three-furlong pole, loomed a threat four wide at the top of the stretch, but faltered and was not involved in the latter stages. SEITAN shied from potential contact with YOU'RE ON MUTE at the start, then bumped YOU GOOD, was hustled forward, raced in the middle of the trio of horses that sprinted clear of the rest on the first turn, dueled down the backstretch with TITANIUM DEAL before weakening in upper stretch, then had little to offer in the late stages. YOU GOOD took a bumped from SEITAN at the start with the momentum carrying into the path of JACKSON D, then was the inside horse in the early speed contest, started to fall back with about three furlongs to run, retreated through the field and trailed the rest home from far back.
