Chart notes
TAP TO CONNECT came away from the gate in good order, then was rated well off the pace two-wide, responded when asked to move up leaving the half-mile pole, steadily advanced through the far turn, took command approaching the top of the stretch, and drew off late under a mild hand ride. AFTER THE GAME raced well off the pace through the early stages, started a steady rally on the turn, was never getting to the winner, but outfinished the rest to gain the place. MO MOVES was hustled to the front from the start, gained the inside position then dueled with ALLER VITE through the first turn, had no answer when TAP TO CONNECT swept to the lead at the quarter pole, struggled to find more in the stretch and was passed for second. CHIEF KIMOSABI raced mid-pack then went evenly late, unable to threaten. JAYS HOLIDAY took up to avoid TAP TO CONNECT at the start, then was last into the first turn, got over to the rail when clear, made a late bid on the far turn but only passed tired foes. STONE ALLIANCE lacked any early speed, raced two-wide near the back through the early stages, went three to four wide on the far turn, and was never a factor. ALLER VITE was away well and pressed the pace to the outside of MO MOVES through the early stages, made a try late on the far turn but could never get by that one and had little left to challenge in the stretch.
