Chart notes
HIGHLAND CREEK stalked MAGNUM to the outside to the far turn, always traveling well, moved to take command at the quarter pole, and went clear under a strong hand ride in the final furlong. COSMIC TRAIN tracked four-wide in the tracking group, rallied three-wide into the stretch, and just got up for second in the last jump. MANGUM hustled away from the gate to get to the front end, gained the rail and the lead, was able to slow down the early pace with HIGHLAND CREEK keeping company to the outside, tried to quicken away through the far turn but surrendered the lead to that rival near the top of the stretch, had something left for the stretch run but was unable to last in the final furlong. TDZSHININLUCKYSTAR settled mid-pack three-wide, made a mild bid from the quarter pole, loomed a threat in upper stretch but was outkicked in the final furlong. SONYA KNOWS BETTER settled inside with the second flight, just behind the pacesetters, came under pressure from the five-sixteenths marker but lacked the needed late response. UP N GONE raced three wide at the rear and went one-paced through the stretch. CAJUN AMI held up near the back, never threatened. JEFFROW saved ground near the back and lacked a rally. CAJUN MITOLE raced in the middle of the pack two wide and faded late. This race had a timing discrepancy or malfunction and was re-timed using video technology to arrive at the most accurate time.
