Chart notes
KOBE'S CAUSE raced up close around the first turn, advanced to challenge CR INSTAGATOR for the lead in the early backstretch, battled for command into the stretch, shook free leaving the furlong marker and finished going away. ON A DARE was unhurried around the first turn and in the early backstretch, engaged the second flight near the half mile marker, chased two wide around the far turn, sustained bid into the lane and finished second best. C R INSTA GATOR broke on top and led the way around the first turn, vied inside of KOBES CAUSE up the backstretch and continued to battle into the lane, could not move on with the eventual winner past the furlong marker and weakened to show. KNIGHT COMMANDER raced in the second flight mid-way up the backstretch, was ridden along three wide around the far turn and into the lane but had no kick. SHIPS ON FIRE raced up close around the first turn, stalked the top pair up the backstretch, flattened around the far turn and continued to weaken in the lane.
