Chart notes
ZIGGZAPPA bobbled at the start, was allowed to settle at the rear of the main pack through the early running, steadily advanced late on the backstretch run and through the far turn, tipped out four-wide to bid for the lead at the top of the stretch, and finished up best to win going away. COUNCILWOMAN JILLY settled mid-pack, launched a three-wide bid with three furlongs to run, came four-wide into the stretch, loomed a threat near the fulong grounds but found the winner too much in the late stages. DIFFERENTLY bumped with RYE SMILE at the start but raced forwardly through the first turn, then tracked close up inside down the backstretch, had to wait for racing room late on the far turn, and finished with good energy when clear. CEEBEE reserved early, saved ground, encountered some traffic at the head of the stretch, then produced a good late run but was too late. PEACOCK ROAD tracked mid-pack and finished evenly. KICK OUT THE JAMS void of speed early, bid five or six wide through the far turn and into the stretch but was unable to make an impact. ISA LEI hustled from the break, made the front on the first turn and led the field through the first half-mile, got pressure along the way from LADY HAMILTON, came into the stretch with a short lead but gave way readily before mid-stretch. LADY HAMILTON came away well and pressed the early pace two-deep, remained in contention to the stretch, then weakened in a sea of challengers. JACK'S SUMMER raced close up two to three wide to the far turn, then came up empty in the stretch. RYE SMILE bumped with DIFFERENTLY at the start, pulled to be up with the leaders exiting the first turn, was taken back down the backstretch, then tried to rally on the far turn, came under pressure after passing the quarter pole, and was outrun in the stretch.
