Chart notes
MAGNA TAP settled between horses near the back, made a forward move late on the backstretch, then set down a challenge to I'M ENTICING on the lead near the three-furlong pole, put a head in front near the quarter pole, and finished best to win clear. WORK ZONE broke well, settled mid-pack two wide, moved up late on the backstretch, waited for room between horses on the far turn, tipped out three-wide at the top of the stretch, finished well but could not get to the winner. UPTONO BUENA tracked inside off the pace, then moved up to be close up with the leading group heading into the second turn, was stuck behind the tiring REDFORK midway through the turn, got clear in the stretch, and finished up well. I'M ENTICING showed good speed from the break but ceded the lead and backed off to a stalking position, took over the front-running duties approaching the half-mile pole, responded to a challenge from MAGNA TAP with three furlongs to run, cut the corner, and fought on gamely, then weakened in deep stretch. DRAMA CODE tucked into the two-path after a decent start, tracked in mid-pack down the backstretch, moved up to bid for the lead approaching the three-furlong pole, but was unable to go with MAGNA TAP, lugged in, and was not a factor in the later stages. WAR FOR GOLD went three-wide through the clubhouse turn, then tracked five-wide down the backstretch, made a sweeping three-wide move through the far turn, came five-wide into the stretch but could not carry the momentum and was outfinished. REDFORK made the front and let the way a length or two clear through the early stages, gave way readily near the three-furlong pole, and quickly faded. GOSPEL GENTLEMAN broke a step slow, came away from the gate awkwardly, lost interest early and trailed far back througout.
