Chart notes
HE'S ALL EARS broke sharply, raced four wide down the backstretch, bid for the lead passing the three-furlong pole, fanned four-wide into the stretch, and finished well under strong handling to prevail over a determined rival to the inside. PAPA BILL chased behind the main pack, got to the rail when clear midway down the backstretch, then tipped out two-wide for the run through the turn, took aim on the leaders turning for home, then got a fortunate hole to run through on the inside, responded when set down with a good finish, battled gamely with HE'S ALL EARS to the finish but came up short. EUROMANTIC was off slow, raced five-wide down the backstretch while trying to get out all the way to the turn, continued wide through the turn and lugged out in the stretch, finishing in the middle of the track. BIG MUCKITY came away well, vied inside of the quartet pushing the early pace, backed out before the quarter pole, and was unable to threaten in the late stages. BOBWHITE BOBBY pressed the pace three wide, bid for the lead approaching the three-furlong pole, was contending for the lead turning for home but weakened in mid-stretch. ELUSIVE POWER hustled to the front, held a short lead to upper stretch, then tired late.
