ADOGATE settled on the rail, moved together with BLINGSTER into the stretch, got the better of that foe at the furlong marker, and was closing the gap on the winner but ran out of time. BLINGSTER tracked two off the rail, made a try at OKLAHOMA LOGIC approaching the three-furlong pole, was unable to make any headway on that one and could not shake off ADOGATE in upper stretch, then weakened and was outfinished. OKLAHOMA LOGIC made the front without a lot of effort, the other runners were content to chase, kept two off the rail, opened up late on the turn with the rider still sitting chilly, was roused in upper stretch, and held clear of a late bid from ADOGATE.
