Chart notes
MARQUEE LADY showed good speed from the break but held up from taking the lead, stalked to the outside of ANNA'S DREAM into the turn, bid for the lead near the quarter pole, took command in upper stretch, and held on under strong handling to the wire. MOLA MIA settled just behind the speed, was always close up, then responded when set down at the top of the stretch, was slowly closing the gap on the winner, but ran out of time. PEPPERS GIRLFRIEND off slow to be well off the leaders at the rear of the field, commenced a steady, long drive going into the turn, and finished with a late gain to be up for the show. TAY TAY'S BABY was outrun and last in the early going, but made a big late run down the middle of the course to improve. MARQUETTE WARRIOR broke out at the start, tracked mid-pack three-wide, advanced with a middle-move on the turn, and finished up well under intermittent urging. GANGSTER RAP tracked inside, was in a drive from the three-furlong pole and went one-paced in the late stages. ANNA'S DREAM made the front while getting constant pressure from MARQUEE LADY, gave way near the quarter pole and tired in the stretch. GEE SHE'S FANCY lacked early speed, raced near the back, and lacked a rally. BRING IT ON BABY tracked five-wide in the second flight, loomed a threat approaching the quarter pole, then faltered in the stretch. WILD CHEROKEE raced close up at the front of the tracking group, started a steady retreat midway through the turn, drifted very wide into the stretch and was not a factor in the late stages.
