Chart notes
ONE BIG HAAS broke best but was quickly joined by a pair of rivals on the inside to contest the early lead, edged ahead late on the turn, took a short lead into the stretch, and held sway under strong handling. NORWAY BEACH was not quick enough to engage the early leaders, tracked close up on the rail, finished up well, but could not get past the winner. LIGHT THE CODE tracked four-wide off the pace, moved up to challenge for the lead near the three-furlong pole, finished up well but ran out of track. MR PELOTON shied from an inside rival at the start, settled three-wide off the pace, launched a bid near the three-furlong pole, loomed a big threat in the stretch, but hung a bit in the late stages. VESTES was off a step slow, fell behind early, then rallied late to improve. SIMMERON contested the early pace from between horses, gave way in upper stretch, and was outrun late. MISSION LOCKOUT was the inside horse in the three-way early pace scramble, dropped out of contention late on the turn and tired.
